the canoe standers

We are three men, bold enough to stand in canoes... and that's how we like our music: filled with risk taking and laughter. Lovers of all musics, rooted in jazz, we bring our varied backgrounds to whatever we play. An old country waltz with an Afro-Cuban groove, some Tom Waits disco, a Beatles polka? [It's happened before, it could happen again...] Put your life jackets on for some extremely connected, high energy fun, with intermittent periods of transcendental beauty.  Every 2nd Monday at Pagliacci's.

[evolution of group name: the new standards -> the gnu standards -> the knu standers -> the canoe standers!]
